What would that be like?
-A note from Pam-

This year was my first opportunity to work with Mary and the fabulous folks from Everything Mary & Bagworks at the Craft & Hobby Association trade show. Not only are they great to work with, but what a wonderful group of customers I met. It may seem a bit out of the ordinary to ramble on about how much fun it was working at a long trade show, but Mary herself makes it anything but ordinary! Full of energy and enthusiasm, she conducted a continuous stream of “make it and take its” everyday. I dare say everyone had a great time in the midst of conducting business at hand. Taking a break to sit down, be creative and visit with other fellow shop-owners was a good way to relax for a bit.
I have a fuzzy, furry friend named Riley. We share many wonderful, heartfelt moments together. Since Riley is just short of 3’ tall and a whopping 75 lbs., he can be quite a handful to the faint of heart. Not to worry though, he is a loving, playful, gentle giant, who loves other dogs, cats, children, and people. He is in his glory when company comes. Since he is part retriever, he loves to bring me sticks, balls, and even stuffed animals. The stuffed animals are his absolute favorite thing to play with, especially the ones that make noise.
Continue reading "Riley and the Pink Monkey"

JJ, Rob, Sean and I just recently took a business trip to China. We left Arkansas @ 7am on Sunday, October 24th, and after changing planes three times, and flying a total of 18 hours, we finally arrived in Hong Kong! We then drove to China, and at last arrived at our destination. Now, you must understand that China is 13 hours ahead of us, so when I was finally able to skype my son at 8:00 on Tuesday morning (china time), it was still 7:00 Monday night for him. That is kind of a hard thing to wrap your head around, and was a very hard thing for us to adjust to.
Continue reading "Our Fall China Trip"

We recently moved our offices to another building. The first time I walked into what was to be my office I knew a pink desk belonged there. The front of my office is glass so everyone can see into it. Is there a better way to show off an office than with a pink desk? Just the thought of it made my heart sing.

Finding a pink desk…………well, that’s a whole other story. Where do I even look? I can’t tell you where to find a pink desk but I can tell you where you won’t find one. Office stores don’t carry them, nor does furniture stores, department stores, used furniture stores. You can’t even find one at a garage sale, trust me on this one, as I have looked.
Continue reading "Doesn’t Everyone Have A Pink Desk?"

I own 150 teapots! Yes it started out as a simple collection, oh not exactly a collection more like one beautiful teapot. Actually it started even before that. It started with the kitchen in my new house. You see the kitchen had the cabinets that don’t reach all the way to he ceiling. Well, you know you just have to put something there to look at. Anyway I saw this beautiful teapot and of course it was calling my name “Mary buy me”,“Mary please take me home” I mean truly how could I say no. Believe me it was the first of many teapots that wanted to come home with me.
Continue reading "Tea Pots and Betty Boop"

CHA features many new products that you the crafter will soon find in your local craft stores. I am excited by what I saw. As you can clearly tell from my title, I never dreamed I would ever actually be blogging. To tell you the truth I’m very technologically challenged in all computers related areas and still living in the good old “hunt & peck” day and age.
The first thing you will notice about Mary is her love for color, glitz and glitter. “Nothing is ever black or white to me, or even gray. I choose to live my life in living Color.” Says the successful designer/artist.

Mary Taylor’s first craft project, at four years old was a skirt she made for her doll. This was made from strips of Kleenex, woven in a basket weave and then taped together. From then on there has been no limit to what she has created.

You could best describe Mary as a fiber artist.
